PedidosYa Murals

“PedidosYa  Murals”

Murals created in Santiago, Talca, Chillán, Puerto Montt, and Viña del Mar.
Enamel and spray paint.
Over 400 m² painted.

During 2024, I had the opportunity to develop a series of murals for PedidosYa storefronts in various cities across Chile: Santiago, Viña del Mar, Talca, Chillán, and Puerto Montt. The experience was highly positive, marked by great creative freedom that allowed me to move naturally between design and art when building each visual proposal.

The murals were made using enamel and spray paint, materials that adapted well to the different spaces and surfaces. On-site assistance was led by Héctor Godoy, a trusted collaborator I’ve worked with for years.

I truly enjoyed each city, and it was incredibly rewarding to see how the murals transformed the spaces—creating a genuine connection with those who live in and pass through them daily.

I am an artist with a career developed across several countries including China, Chile, France, Peru, Bolivia, Germany, Uruguay, the United States, Brazil, and others, where I have created exhibitions and murals in diverse contexts. Among my most significant works is the mural “El Sueño de Volar” (“The Dream of Flying”), measuring 185 m² and located in the Cerrillos Metro Station in Santiago, Chile, inaugurated at the end of 2017 by President Michelle Bachelet, as well as “Ñatinta en flor” (“Ñatinta in Bloom”), located in the General Cemetery of La Paz, Bolivia, among other works listed in my CV (see CV Alme Yutronic).

These murals contain various layers of meaning, with the most prominent being a visual chain of processes that represents what happens when placing an order through the app—or what happens internally at PedidosYa when a purchase request is received. All of this is expressed clearly through vibrant colors and defined forms, offering a visual narrative that’s easy to read, free of confusion, and that visually enhances its environment.

“PedidosYa  Shutters”

Alongside the large-scale mural projects, I also created several smaller—but equally important—works. A series of murals on metal shutters and storefront closures for various local businesses in Santiago, all collaborators of PedidosYa and part of its delivery network. In total, around 10 shutters were painted, belonging to small businesses dedicated to selling sushi, burgers, kebabs, pizza, and other types of food.

Each piece was carried out from design to execution, producing works that balance art, function, and visual identity. The murals were created using enamel and spray paint—materials ideal for metal surfaces and outdoor conditions.

Each intervention was designed to significantly improve the appearance of the storefronts, adding identity, color, and presence to the businesses, and creating a more engaging and appealing connection with the public.
